About the coffee
This coffee is sourced from small shareholders in the Kochere District of the Gedeo zone of Ethiopia. Approximately 650 small producers transport their coffee to the Debo Wash Station, where beans are depulped, processed and dried for 12-15 days. Approximately 30% of all coffee bearing the Yirgacheffe names comes from this specific area where farms are primarily family owned. The combination of high altitude, semi-forested shade canopy, and iron-rich, acidic soils creates the ideal growing environment for this coffee.
